#Branding #VisualIdentity #Style GuideVR Accelerator was a volumetric capture studio started by Pier 59 in New York City. We were asked to create a cohesive visual identity of the brand that spoke to their footing in the worlds of fashion and technology .
As usual, we started by doing research. First, with comparison of competitors and other related brands.. We created a graph that organized their logos by industry (tech & fashion) and time (past & present). In addition we do word exercises, narrowing down aesthetic language that bridges the worlds of tech and fashion. Once we got an idea of what was out there, we started creating sketches. Exploring endless doodles and experiments, we slowly start getting closer to the tone that the client was looking for.
We landed on a mix of design elements that spoke to the tech services being offered, while also treating the art direction and typesetting in a way that coexisted with the fashion editorial and lifestyle brand content they were creating.
